4 easy on the elliptical.  30 min core workout.  Legs and feet still very beat-up.  Note to self:  Never train in a heavier cushioned shoe, then run a marathon in a racing flat.

Just working out to stay in shape.  Been thinking about a December marathon.  I would hate to end running marathons with my STGM performance.  It was pretty embarrasing!!!

Positive note:  Nice to have such an awesome family.  When I finished, my daughter, son and nephew came charging over.  They acted like I just won something.  Once again, that puts it all in perspective.

Training:  Going to enjoy the cooler temps and really appreciate running.  Not many ipod runs, just alot of running and thinking.  Hope everyone is feeling better after the marathon!

Glad you continue to have a good perspective. I'm going to cross train for a while to maintain fitness. Good luck if you do run again in December, if not, there is always next year anyway.

Well if anything you learned more from this race. I hope you do decide to do another marathon in Dec. You are really primed for a good race though. Keep it up man. Was good to see you briefly at like mile 20 or so. Even if you were suffering some. We will get it man.

Mike, just my take, I think is difficult to key for one marathon, anything can happen in the week before the marathon or on marathon day. Yes, I think you can get recovered, get a couple of good longer tempo runs in and run a very good December marathon. I ran St.George in 1998, 3:08 and then ran (Dec) Honolulu in 3:18 (hot and humid). I see no reason why you could not give the BQ another shot in December. Is so darn difficult to get in top shape, yes, I would give it a shot while you in top shape.

Mike, I stayed with Tom & Kim in your Condo. THANKS very much it was great! It's not fair that some of us had a great marathon and others didn't. Whenever, I get in good shape I always run at least two marathons within a couple of months because it seems like the odds are that one of them wont turn out the way I would like. By running two marathons it seemed like I always increased my odds of having a good run.

I have a question about your condo. Please call me at 801-647-0177 or Email me at tbean@headwaters.com, Thanks.

Mike, I'm thinking more towards running the L.A. Marathon in Feb. It is on President's Day which is a Monday. Initially, I thought about doing CIM or Las Vegas, but I think I will just try to get in shape for the Snow Canyon Half, get in some good miles in December, try to run a decent time at Painter's Half (it seems I've always been injured or in bad shape for this race, maybe this year will be the year). I would like to do LA and then maybe Boston or Ogden or the Newport Marathon in Oregon toward the end of May
